The last mile

Sound familiar?

Agents can research, plan and write. The phone is where they stop.

“Here's the number. You'll need to call.”

Your agent found the business and what to ask, then handed the call back to you.

“Changes by phone only, 9 to 5.”

Restaurants, salons and shops still book by phone, while you're at work.

“Your call is important to us.”

Phone menus and hold music eat 20 minutes for a 2-minute change.

How a call goes

One brief, one yes, one call

You approve the brief. Tuvoz makes the call. Your agent gets the result.

“I don't want it calling anyone without asking me.”

You see the brief before it dials

Your agent writes down who it will call, where it found the number, what it may share and the most it can agree to. Nothing dials until you say yes.

“Will they know they're talking to an AI?”

An honest opener, then a consent question

Every call opens with who's calling and why, then asks if it may record the call and use it to train AI. Say "don't call again" or press 9, and Tuvoz won't call that number again.

The start of a call to Luigi's Trattoria: the opener and the consent question
Tuvoz: Hi! I'm Jane Doe's AI assistant, calling through Tuvoz about a table for 4 tonight.
Luigi's: Hi, sure, what can I do for you?
Tuvoz: Just so you know, Tuvoz records this call, and it may be used to train AI. Other AI companies may get a transcript with names and numbers removed. Is that okay with you?
Luigi's: Sure, that's fine.

“What if they ask something it doesn't know?”

Questions go to your agent, then to you

When the business asks something the brief doesn't cover, Tuvoz asks your agent and keeps the line warm. If your agent can't answer, Tuvoz phones you.

Limits

What Tuvoz won't do

Your agent can't turn these off, and the hosted service has no setting for them.

  • Pretend to be you or a human.

Every call opens by saying it's your AI assistant.

  • Record anyone who says no.

It asks first, and a "no" ends the call.

  • Call again after someone says stop.

Say "don't call again" or press 9 on any call.

  • Call too early or too late.

Calls go out 9 AM to 8 PM their time, except calls to your own phone.

  • Call emergency or crisis lines.

911, 988 and other N11 numbers are blocked.

  • Read out card numbers or codes.

Bank details, passwords and one-time codes are off limits too.

  • Make sales, political, fundraising or debt collection calls.

Each call's purpose is checked before it dials.

  • Leave a voicemail unless you ask it to.

At a voicemail it hangs up, unless your brief asks for a message.

  • Call numbers outside the US.

    International numbers are blocked.

Self-hosting the bridge? The checks on what a call is for, and on card numbers and codes in briefs, run only in the hosted service. Self-host or hosted

FAQ

Questions people ask

Short answers. The details are in the guides and legal pages.

Does the person I'm calling know it's an AI?

Yes. Every call opens with a scripted line such as "Hi! I'm Jane Doe's AI assistant, calling through Tuvoz about a table for 4 tonight." If anyone asks whether they're talking to a person, it says it's an AI assistant. There is no setting that changes this.

What if they don't want to be recorded?

Right after the opener, Tuvoz asks if it may record the call and use it to train AI, and says other AI companies may get a transcript with names and numbers removed. If they say no, it says goodbye and hangs up, and Tuvoz keeps nothing they said. Our AI voice provider processes their words live to run the call and may keep them for a limited time for abuse monitoring, as our Privacy Policy explains.

Which agents work with Tuvoz?

Claude Code, Codex, claude.ai, Meta Muse and OpenClaw today. Paste "Set up Tuvoz: https://tuvoz.io/agents" into Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw or Muse; on claude.ai you upload the skill zip in Customize, then Skills. ChatGPT dots is coming soon.

What happens when my agent doesn't know an answer?

Tuvoz asks your agent and keeps the conversation going. If your agent isn't watching the call, or can't answer within 30 seconds, Tuvoz calls your phone and asks you.

How much does it cost?

$0.12 a minute, billed per second, with a 30-second minimum per answered call leg, including calls to your own phone. Unanswered, busy and failed calls cost nothing. You get 15 free minutes to start. Free plan includes training on your calls. Top-ups start at $5.

Who can Tuvoz call?

US numbers only: listed businesses, your own phone, and people you confirm agreed to AI calls (you add them in the dashboard first). It can't call unlisted landlines, like home phones that aren't listed as businesses, yet. It never calls 911, 988 or other N11 numbers. Calls to businesses and other people go out only between 9 AM and 8 PM their time; calls to your own phone, like a question during a call, aren't limited to those hours.
